What will take place during the project?
The following will happen during the project:
Throughout the project, the involved teachers can:
As a joint outcome of the project, the participants will make a web based worksheet collection titled “Nutikalt Looduses” (Skillfully in Nature) which is based on active teaching methods and takes into account the natural differences and the differences in the teaching of nature sciences in all the partnering countries.
- non-formal learning;
- visits to different learning sites (e.g. companies, museums, science centres)
- preparation and conducting of study tours and outdoor lessons;
- preparation of presentations on material that is gotten from study visits;
- search for and active correspondence between pen pals from partnering countries;
- usage of innovative teaching methods;
- usage of ICT (including smartphones) in teaching.
- to maintain and increase pupils’ interest in science;
- for pupils to learn to notice what is happening in nature that surrounds them;
- to obtain important knowledge and practical skills on how to survive in nature by using their smart devices and any handy tools;
- to expand pupils' perceptions and awareness of nature sciences.
Throughout the project, the involved teachers can:
- develop their teaching methods so that they would become more student-centred;
- acquire new methods and ideas to complement and modernize the already existing learning materials;
- develop innovative educational materials.
